March 2023 in Ascension Parish saw a median price of $318,537 for detached single-family homes. The parish is feeling the beginnings of the Spring Selling Season, with 124 homes closing in March. Out of those homes closed, they were on the market for a median of twenty-six days, and the list price-to-sales price ratio was 97.1%. There were 119 homes to go under contract.
There are currently 254 homes on the market, with a median list price of $377,450. This equals a 2.3-month supply of homes on the market in Ascension Parish.
East Baton Rouge Parish
March 2023 in East Baton Rouge Parish saw a median price of $277,407 for detached single-family homes. Out of the 342 homes closed in March 2023, they were on the market for a median of twenty-four days, and the list price-to-sales price ratio held steady at 97.5%. There were 397 homes to go under contract, which was up substantially from February. Hello Spring Selling Season!
There are currently 948 homes on the market, with a median list price of $369,900. This equals a 2.7-month supply of homes in the East Baton Rouge Parish market.
In March 2023, Livingston Parish saw a median sales price of $256,000 for detached single-family homes. Out of the 157 homes closed in March 2023, they were on the market for a median of thirty-four days, and the list-to-sales price ratio was 98.6%! There were 135 homes to go under contract compared to 205 in March 2022 and 120 in February 2023.
There are currently 316 detached single-family homes on the market, with a median list price of $316,150. This equals a 2.1-month supply of homes in the Livingston Parish market.
