The buyer’s agent will make an appointment to do their final walkthrough before closing. Typically, this is scheduled the day before or immediately before closing. If there were a number of repairs negotiated or the repairs were extensive, the buyers may do a walkthrough 5 days prior to closing and then again right before closing.
Tips for A Successful Final Walkthrough:
- Ensure all negotiated repairs have been completed.
- Ensure all negotiated repairs have been completed.
- Make sure the house is clean and free of debris.
The buyers will check to make sure the appliances are in good working order and that the home is in the same or better condition than when they originally wrote the contract.
It is important that you are not there for the walkthrough. Please allow the buyers and their agent space to perform the walkthrough. You will get to see them at closing and share any tips you may have for them there.
